U of T Developmental AI Lab
Dr. Kang Lee is looking for graduate students to study AI in psychology and education this year (MA or PHD).
The individual must have extensive coding experience (Python) and be interested in applying AI to psychology and education.
Kang Lee Lab has conducted research on deception, racial bias, bias reduction in children, and fraud among senior citizens. We have conducted research using transdermal optical imaging (TOI) technology to measure physiological changes such as heart rate and blood pressure from a person's face.
Researchers in the Kang Lee Lab have published numerous academic papers, conference proceedings, theses and book chapters on deception, development, racial bias, face processing, transdermal optical imaging and machine learning.
Dr. Kang Lee and his postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Paul Zheng, developed Transdermal Optical Imaging, the novel technology that uses facial videos captured by conventional cameras and advanced machine learning methodology to extract facial blood flow changes.
Dr. Kang Lee has made appearances in newspapers, TV, podcasts, as well as numerous educational platforms.
